Welcome Lori Lynn Lomeli was born in 1958. At the age of eight, she was given her first Hula Hoop® by her grandmother, Mrs. Ethel Ray. Lori entered various contests
and championship tournaments throughout the U.S. She is the 1973 World Hula Hoop® champion and also possesses Guinness Books official world record in the 1975 edition for
spinning 15 Hula Hoops simultaneously.Lori's 1998 TV appearances were on the Today Show, The Big Moment, Good Morning America, KTLA Morning News, Good Day L.A., and the
Donny and Marie Show. In the spring of 1999, she had an opportunity to go to Japan to promote the Hula Hoop® for Tsukuda Original Co., Ltd., a leading Japanese
toy company. She also made an appearance on a morning show called Cook-A-Doodle-Doo of Nagoya TV. On August 5, 1999, in Reno Nevada, Lori Hula-Hooped her way into
the Guinness Book of World Records by spinning 82 Hula Hoops simultaneously for three complete revolutions. She made international news. A Mother of three, Lori's mission is to encourage people of all ages
to participate in fun activities like the Hula Hoop®, and her dream is to revitalize World Hula Hoop® Championship competitions in the U.S. |
